What is this project about?
I want to encourage people to be themselves by interviewing tattoo artists on their style. I challenged the stigma of tattoos in different countries by showing how being different doesn’t mean being rude. I have created a book based on‘ignorant style’ tattoos, explaining how it began, what this style centres around. I have interviewed tattoo artists from different countries and ask them questions about their job, style and stigma that is still surrounded around tattoos in their countries, as well as looking at female artists in this industry. I want to educate people about this style of tattoos, as it is not known in Ireland.
